Not sure why it took me so long to remember (arguably) the most famous female superhero. (Also, it’s about time I got to someone with curlier hair!)
POC Wonder Woman

PLEASE CAN WE HAVE THIS
IT’S SO NICE

She looks good in various ways… and one of those ways is that she’s drawn to be attractive and physically possible. Considering the way women in comics are often drawn with breasts and butt both facing the reader, this is SO refreshing.

It’s not that much better - she’s still drawn to be objectified, she’s still wearing barely any clothes, she’s still perfectly formed.

You’re probably correct, but considering what I see posted on eschergirls (examples of physically impossible bodies that are incredibly distorted ideas of what’s sexy), I like that she looks real and possible, even if perfect. Drawing her with more clothes is an easier fix than correcting amazing failures of basic anatomy. (I was a comics collector from late 1970s to about 1986, and, however silly the art used to be, I wasn’t fully aware of how much worse it became in the 1990s, and apparently persists in being.)
